Hyundai Sonata has been ruling Korean car market over the last 10 years. It's been symbol of the middle class in Korea, a successful 30's. Stable engine,, Low cost of repair,.that was reason that it can appeal to the public. On the one hand, people begins to cloy with Sonata series. It stands at gray zone. Performance? Not remarkable. Sexy look? Well..no. For all these, it's still true that Sonata is one of the most powerful model in Korea. i40 is the branch model of Sonata. Almost same but different in detail. Let take a look! ^^

Hyundai Veloster review. Part 2 Interior

We had a first review of Veloster before. And today, we will review the interior and lower body parts. Let's get in the car. Neat design! But it looks too normal! What if it is more flakey or prepostrous?

It strikes me that Hyundai use the cheap materials for interior. Hey Hyundai! I paid for this car more than 20,000$!

The front seat look like semi bucket, but while real driving, it strikes me that seat position is too high and I didn't feel good with it. Turbo logo on the seat is beautiful but we need something more. I require something clearly differentiated from Hyundai sedan.

There is safety belt bracket from B pillar, it will help a driver fasten the seat belt easily.

Nothing differentiated with steering wheel in comparison to Hyundai sedan. What if Hyundai adapt a new design for steering wheel? It must be better. For example, Golf GTD steering wheel. And more worse, Veloster's steering wheel is too much slippery, it is a big weakness while driving a winding roads.

Just normal design..nothing special..

Organ-type pedals will help you to do heel and toe skill while driving. Hand grip type side brake is better for sports driving. better than EPB or foot type.

2 layers tray . not sliding console box.

Dimension Audio including sub wooper is the basic option. Ipod bluetooth connection with the Audio.

6 auto transmission is the basic option. Although it works faster than expected, Hope Veloster turbo with DCT will be released soon anyway. (DCT support REV matching).

Test drive : Hyundai Veloster 1.6 turbo Turbo GDI #1

Hi. today we gonna do test-drive with Hyundai Veloster Turbo. Veloster turbo GDI made it's debut 1 years ago, that is the result of the long wait. Frankly, when it comes to non-turbo Veloster, the insufficient power in comparison with the peculiar appearance was a problem.

Before Veloster turbo, Hyundai Motor released 2.0 liter Turbo GDI engine for Sonata which were favorably reviewed by car mania. Actually, Hyundai sonata has 270 horse power with Turbo GDI. It's hard to find it's competitor even among Germany cars.

Why Veloster become a issue maker?
Veloster turbo has 204 horse power with 1.6 liter twin scroll turbo engine, it is superior to BMW mini cooper S. There was a drag race test of 2 cars a couple of month ago, Hyundai Veloster was slightly slower than MINI Cooper S. Yes. Veloster was slower than MINI S in the test, but we have to think about the weight of these car. Hyundai Veloster weighs 100kg more than MINI Cooper S. If we tested accelerating power of these 2 cars in high speed, Veloster is surely winner.

Veloster options to purchase

1) Dull luster black color, dull lust black color is very fascinating option you can choose. But think about it once more. You really want it? It may hard to maintain.

2) Performance Kit
This is amazing options. Factory (Hyundai TUIX) tuning parts gives a high performance for it's price and more important, you don't need to pay attention for maintenance.

This performance kit are composed of 3 parts. Sports damper and springs, harder Stabilizers. Priced at 800$.

3) Stylish Body Decal Sticker
Priced 200~500$

*3 types of TUIX sport decals are available only for turbo model

4) Carbon side mirror cover
Price : 100$



Now, let's take a look at the real car.

The big difference from the non-turbo Veloster in the front view is Hexagon grill. And 18inch big wheels and silver side skirt gives Veloster aggressive look. When we get back of the car, we will find another big difference from the non-turbo version. It is the rear diffuser and end muffler tip.

And fog lamp design has been changed. The silver front skirt is well matched with front bumper.

People say that Veloster is well designed car, but back side of Veloster take a cake! If you drive a car which has 200 horse power, you may have more chance to show back of your car rather than front to another drivers. In that meaning, the aggressive rear design of Veloster has the important meaning.

Yes. this is Turbo car!
Beautiful body lines, Red LED tail lamps and over fender come together.

2011+ hyundai elantra mood map light DIY

Hi :)

I am "day walker" a member of PartsKor. Today, I am going to show you how to install a Mood map light module in your 2011+ Elantra. (Some of Elantra, they don't have interior map light.)

1.This 2011 Elantra Mood map light (Stock) - you can buy this from Hyundai Mobis
  It will cost just about 34$.

2.Map lamp will be installed in the empty space.

3.Cut the line as below

4.After cutting interior cover, you will find 4 holes. 4 pcs of clip should be put into the holes so that you can screw up the map lamp assembly later.

5. Now almost done! After screwing up, you need to connect electric line between the map light assembly and some where in your car.

  *Notice
   2012 - : You can find the elec. lines from the dome light.
   2012+  : You can find the elec lines from A pillar.
